GWM Jolion Max EV Could Debut in Nepal at NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2026

GWM Nepal is expected to showcase the Jolion Max EV at the upcoming NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2026, expanding its electric vehicle portfolio in the Nepalese market.

If introduced, the new electric SUV will join the brand’s existing EV lineup, which currently includes the Ora 03 electric hatchback and the Ora 5 electric compact SUV.

The arrival of the Jolion Max EV could strengthen GWM’s position in Nepal’s rapidly growing electric vehicle segment, especially in the highly competitive electric SUV category.

The Jolion Max EV is positioned as a larger and more premium electric SUV compared to the Ora 5. It measures 4,590 mm in length, 1,877 mm in width, and 1,675 mm in height, while offering a ground clearance of 190 mm. The SUV features a spacious design aimed at family buyers looking for a practical electric vehicle with improved road presence.

Powering the Jolion Max EV is a 58.3 kWh battery pack that delivers a WLTC-certified range of over 400 km. The electric motor produces 150 kW of power and 260 Nm of torque, offering a balance of performance and efficiency for both city driving and highway journeys.

The SUV supports 6.6 kW AC charging along with DC fast charging, while the inclusion of a heat pump system helps improve energy efficiency in different climate conditions.

In terms of design, the Jolion Max EV follows GWM’s modern SUV styling philosophy with LED headlamps, daytime running lights, rear LED lights, alloy wheels, and a sporty rear profile. The model is expected to be available in two variants — High and Top — with both variants sharing the same electric powertrain.

The cabin focuses on technology and comfort, featuring a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a large 14.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system.

The system supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, while additional features include Bluetooth connectivity, voice recognition, multiple USB ports, six-speaker audio system, automatic climate control, rear AC vents, and a panoramic camera system.

The higher-spec variant is expected to offer additional premium features such as a panoramic sunroof with electric shade, electric tailgate, ventilated front seats, multi-colour ambient lighting, head-up display, and electric passenger seat adjustment.

Safety and driver assistance technology are among the major highlights of the Jolion Max EV, offering a comprehensive suite of ADAS features.  The SUV also comes equipped with standard safety features including ABS, EBD, Traction Control System, Electronic Stability Control, Hill Assist Control, Hill Descent Control, Automatic Vehicle Hold, Electronic Parking Brake, and Secondary Collision Mitigation.

The top variant is expected to feature additional safety equipment including curtain airbags and enhanced collision protection systems.

The Jolion Max EV also features several convenience technologies, including a vehicle-to-load (V2L) function, a transparent underbody view system, omniview camera, wireless charging support, and multiple intelligent driving functions.

Although GWM Nepal has not officially announced the pricing, the Jolion Max EV is expected to be positioned between Rs. 60 lakh and Rs. 65 lakh in Nepal.

With its combination of a 400 km+ range, premium features, advanced safety systems, and spacious SUV design, the model could compete in one of the most crowded EV segments in the country.  

Alongside the Ora 03 and Ora 5, the Jolion Max EV could become the brand’s flagship electric SUV offering, targeting customers looking for a premium, technology-focused, and practical electric vehicle.
